Materialized under an obsession to release these images and words from within, you see…

…the same colors that light my skies…

…the same textures that caress my fingers…

…the stillness of a movement I captured in time…

…the verses streaming from the vision that arises…

My visions are inspired by my studies in Buddhism and mythology from ancient cultures, as well as the chapters of my life as time passes on. Just as a photograph is an image captured in time, each painting and poem I create is a embodiment of my thoughts and emotion.

Originally from Sai Gon, Viet Nam, I have spent most of my life living on the Emerald Coast of Florida.  I studied fine arts at Okaloosa-Walton Junior College and continued my studies as a student of nationally and internationally renowned artist, Sensei Jeannie "Masuko" Gartman.  Although, some of my paintings are in acrylic, my medium of choice is oil. Oil painting gives me unsurpassed flexibility of blending magnificent color and transparency, as well as, allowing me to create highly textural pieces within my uniquely defined color palette.

Renowned primarily for my use of color and fantastically created atmospheres, each painting retains its exclusivity and can only be created once. Layers and layers of paint demand the use of the highest quality linen canvases that are supremely reinforced to withstand my technique and endure the gravity of time.  The vision is completed once enveloped within a custom made frame – always chosen individually for each finished piece.

My artwork has been displayed at locally sponsored art shows and businesses throughout Okaloosa County including restaurants, yoga studios, and gift shops.  I have also been honored to serve as a juror for the Northwest Florida Arts Association "Consumerism" competition.  Original paintings are kept exclusive and can only be obtained through commissions.  So much emotion and energy is invested that letting go of a commissioned piece is often times very difficult to do.  Hence the reason I never ask for a down payment and I always give the commissioner the option of buying the final original or choosing to purchase a reproduction instead.  If I choose to let go of an original within my private collection, it is only because I have finally chosen to let go of that chapter in my life or the vision no longer lingers within.  Reproduced prints are available on occasion and are also limited in number in order to retain their value. Showings of my original paintings in professional establishments are only available on a month-to-month rental basis.  Reproduced prints are more readily available for showing.

Often times I am asked what a certain element may be in a painting I create....my answer is always "it is whatever the admirer seeks it to be."

In sharing my artwork, I hope to awaken the inner awe within each of us.

Thank you for sharing this experience with me.
